After walking around Concord enjoying nice weather I was detained by two officers. They asked for my name, which I provided. They ran my name I guess, and continued telling me I was doing nothing wrong and they have no reason to suspect that I had done anything wrong, just that 'they received a complaint' and had to come check it out.
After getting a response back from dispatch I was free to go. They said if I wanted to not be "detained" I could call and inform them I'm exercising my rights or provide them with a picture so they can just drive by.
Should I also call them to inform them I'm exercising my first amendment rights? Perhaps I should inform them I'm maintaining a blog*
* I wasn't intending on maintaining a blog until Incident #5 occured.

Concord,NH: Open Carry Incident #1; Detention #1
I was detained by three officers for lawfully open carrying. They asked for ID. Being the first time being detained I complied and gave them ID (pistol license). They wanted a photo ID which I didn't have and kept saying "How do we know this is really you?" etc etc.
After about 5 minutes I was free to go.

Open Carry in NH
Hi all,
I live in NH. I'm an open carrier. These are my stories of how I learned to love to Exerciser my Rights and get detained or have officers search for me.
I've tended to Open Carry in Concord, NH on a regular basis. I've had 3 detentions between December 2008 and April 2009. I also had two calls go out for me over the police radio in which I was not found. I did not go out of my way to not be found. The first time I had been sitting on a park bench and didn't feel like walking back to the road. The second time, I slowed down walking but apparently even with additional calls they did not find me. I in fact even walked right by two officers who were getting back into their vehicles during this 5th incident. After the second incident I picked up a police scanner and slow down walking and get my camera in hand.
